Who Are We?
How does it all work?
Let's get some of the questions you may have answered!
How Does This Work?
You have the option to stop by our grab & go shop and purchase anything you would like out of our coolers or you can place an order online for pickup or delivery. If you order online, you scope out the menu for the week, choose your meals, and place your order! We design a variety of chef-prepared selections as well as a core menu from which you can select to add proteins, vegetables, & carbohydrates to your day. We shop and chop, prepare your meals with love, and a chef's assistant comes knocking with your cooler bag of gourmet, fresh, heat & eat entrees.
When Do My Meals Arrive?
For online- orders placed by Thursday at midnight will be dropped to your home on Sunday afternoon between 2p-6p. This gives us time to source fresh product to cook up your meals. Meals are prepared fresh and delivered on Sunday for you to enjoy throughout your week! All orders placed after midnight on Thursday night will fall into the next week's delivery. For example, order is placed on Saturday, August 15th, your order will be ready for pickup or delivery on Sunday August 23rd, NOT Sunday August 16th. If you live close to our shop and need food immediately, you can shop from our grab & go coolers.
What Can I Expect On Delivery Day?
All cooler bags will be out for delivery between 2:00pm and 6:00pm on Sunday. Your cooler will be dropped at your doorstep. We will follow instructions on your invoice so be sure to leave any details about your place of residence.
You will see a $10 delivery fee for the courier delivery and bag exchange. If you live close to our grab & go store, feel free to select Store Pickup and your bag will be ready for you on Sunday between 2:00pm and 5:00pm.
How Do I Heat My Meals?
Our meals are served in a microwaveable, recyclable container. Our suggestion is to heat your meals in the microwave at 50% power for 1:00-2:00 minutes depending on the wattage of your microwave. You will begin to get a feel for the temperature you enjoy your meals best but it is recommended to reheat the meals to at least 165 degrees.
What Do I Do With My Cooler Bag After Delivery?
We hope you love using the Chop & Chisel cooler bags, but please do leave them out the next Sunday for our delivery person to pick up. We will continue to swap coolers this way as you continue to order.
How Long Do My Meals Last?
We recommend eating the food by end of the day Saturday, but we find that most dishes last until Sunday. In addition, some meals can be frozen to extend the shelf-life, although we pride ourselves on serving you fresh entrees.
I Have Food Allergies/Aversions. Can You Customize My Meals?
We do allow customers to let us know about food allergies or dislikes and we log the information in your customer profile. Each week we customize your food to not include these items.
Do You Provide The Nutritional Information For Your Meals?
Yes the macronutrients are listed on all of our labels for you to use to track for your week.
Who Is Your Typical Client?
We cook for a lot of families, busy parents, university students, athletes, single person households, and people who don’t have the time to meal plan and cook the way they want to for the week. Whether you are looking to help yourself with a week of dinners or your on the go breakfast, we can help!

The Abandon Project
We have partnered with a local non-profit, The Abandon Project, to help meet one of the greatest needs in our local communities. The Abandon Project was founded by Josh & Jenny Meadows over 6 years ago with the mission to “partner with neglected neighborhoods, create healthy community and break negative cycles that limit development,” & one of the largest needs they are trying to meet is access to sustainable nutrition & nutrition education. We have partnered with Jenny & Josh to help support them in their efforts to provide our local community with nutritious meals that they otherwise wouldn’t receive. Throughout the week, Chop and Chisel donates food to help The Abandon Project change the world, one meal at time.
